A letter from the President of Murdock Industrial:

Hello, and thank you for your interest! Murdock Industrial Inc. was started in July of 1999 from an asset purchase of The M.F. Murdock Company which was founded in 1904. The M.F. Murdock Company was a pioneer in industrial products for the local Akron, Canton, Cleveland area being the first in many areas of distribution. I would like to personally thank the men and women that worked hard and made a difference in the history of Akron... providing a great future for all of us. I ran across some old photos in some paperwork we were going through and have put them up to share some of the history with you, just click each picture for a larger size. These are must see great images and I hope you enjoy!

The future of Murdock Industrial Inc. has several new directions, all very exciting and designed to add to the growth/stability of Murdocks. Alex Flach continues to bring on new companies as well as maintain his long time customers all while giving great service and advice, and Rob Price is a real problem solver, flexing his knowledge and continues to exceed expectations as far as Murdock Industrial and his customers expect.

A continual focus on the internet and internet sales is very strong in our current business plan. Murdock Industrial employees people with knowledge, personality, and the drive to help out each customer as best we can. If you need support from our customer team, please ask for Sarah Eash, Bryan Matheney, Terry Shultz, or myself Tony Price.... each of us are trained and knowledgeable and would like to help you out. There are other great members of our team including Chris Becker, Mark Smith, Michelle Rozak, Wendy Coleman and Nate White. I don't mean not to focus on any particular person, we all play a part in the success of Murdock Industrial. Our next steps are to grow the offerings we carry on the internet stores. www.Aeroquip.cc has grown into one of the easiest to use ecommerce stores for purchases of wholesale bulk Eaton-Aeroquip hydraulic hose, fittings, adapters and quick disconnects. Where that store leaves off, we now have www.HoseMachine.com which is a first site on the internet to be able to actually build an assembly online, give instant pricing, and the ability to purchase immediately. This project was in the works for over 5 years and I believe is one of the many great things our company offers.

We also are starting to provide YouTube.com videos for our customers convenience. You can get there by going to www.youtube.com/murdockmovies I personally think that the ability to quickly access videos and seeing things in 3D is paramont to on the internet. We are currently in development on several products to help thread identification for hose ends, how-to videos on hose, sheet rubber, conveyor belt, lacing, and many others.... check out our offering on the Youtube and we hope this helps learn, grow and understand the products we carry. This concept is carrying over to a training website in developement, www.HoseTraining.com which will give very usefull information and certification if desired. The training and key products discussed will also be integrated into our online ecommerce stores to make for an extremely helpfull and usefull distribution of products.

Our www.Elemmat.com continues to do fantastic and we have added new vehicles recently... the Honda Fit! Our elemmats have been well received by the Honda Ridgeline, Honda Element, Toyota FJ Cruiser communities and many more. If you have a car we do not currently make an elemmat for and would like one please let us know and we will try. Several videos are up right now to show the elemmat in the cars they are designed for.

On top of everything we are also working hard to make it easier to purchase harder to find niche products including Flexuast Ducting, Norton Saint Gobain Tubing, the entire gambit of quality V-belts and power transmission parts, Topogee steam and boiler gaskets, Thermoid Industrial Hose, Foster Quick Disconnects, Garlock Sheet Packing and Pump Packing, and much much more...

Akron is a great place to own and run a company. The people here are fantastic neighbors and care about each other. If you're ever in the area stop on and say hello and if you're interested in a tour of our facility just call ahead so we can make time for you. Please give us the opportunity to shine for you as we try for all of our friends that purchase from us.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to helping you.
